How To Automate A Direct Message To New Users In Twitter

A direct message in Twitter is a message you can send to one user. It’s nice to be able to say thank you to people who follow you, but it can get tedious to do so if you have a lot of people following on a regular basis. Unfortunately Twitter doesn’t have an option to send an automatic message to new followers. For that you have to use third party tools.

Many of those sites that do this will ask that you upgrade to a premium plan of some sort that will cost you money.

A free way to send automated direct messages in Twitter

You will need to signup for a free account at CrowdfireApp.com.

The details are in the video below, but here are the main steps:

  1.  Signup for CrowdfireApp.com
  2. Click on Automate (left menu at the bottom)
  3. Type in your message in the page tha loads

It’s fairly simple. You can type a ‘Thank You for following’ message in that space provided.

There are other options, like the ability to type different messages that will be randomly chosen as well.

The only downside to thsi free automated direct message is that Crowdfire will append or add to your message its name, however this is not very intrusive and most people won’t really know that the message they receive is automated.
