SEO Pricing

How The Competition Works...

Most SEO companies want to lock you into a minimum three month contract, in addition to charging you a fairly large setup fee. Besides it being good for the bottom line of the SEO company, there is a somewhat legitimate reason for this.

It typically takes a few months of optimization work for visible results to manifest, and they don't want you, the client, to drop out too early in the process. But when you really think about it, if they really had confidence in their work, if they really wanted to understand your business, they wouldn't have to resort to locking you into a contract.

Often times as well, you will be quoted a fixed price by the SEO salesperson without regard to how that fits into your marketing budget. They just want to make the sale.

How I work...

I am flexible for my SEO clients because I know that every business is different. Although the initial setup phases are usually very similar, the amount of optimization work (and therefore the ultimate cost) that needs to be done afterwards varies greatly from one company to another. A one sized fits all flat rate just doesn't work for many cases.

There are so many variables that impact SEO it would be difficult to list all the possible tasks, but here is a good overview of the main items (not necessarily done in the orders' listed).

Initial Setting Up Phase

  • Keyword Research
  • Setup Rank Tracking
  • Perform Traffic Analysis
  • Connect Analytic Tracking
  • Setup Social Media Accounts
  • Claim Business Listings
  • Directory Submission

Core Optimization Tasks

  • Content Creation
  • Page Optimization
  • Site Optimization
  • Internal Link Building
  • Directory Cleanup
  • Mobile Optimization
  • Increase Page Speed
  • Add Schema Markup

Conversion & Traffic Building

  • Competitor Analysis
  • Analytic & Rank Analysis
  • Competitor Fake Listing Removal
  • Increase Inbound Links
  • Add Call Tracking
  • Increase # of Reviews
  • Increase Site Trust Value
  • Facilitation of Contact/Purchase

After I have an idea of what the variables are for your market and area, and I have an idea of what your business and goals are, I then present to you an optimization plan that works within your budget and time frame.

Typically the amount of work per month is between five to ten hours. The reasoning behind this is that less than five doesn't provide much momentum, more than ten makes it difficult to track what work lead to which gains.

I usually work on an hourly basis, but I am flexible to your needs because I know that some businesses prefer to set a specific amount in their budget, whereas are others just want the job done as quick as possible.

What Do You Need?

Some business owners are hands off. They hire me, give me carte blanche and I do what needs to get done. Other business owners want to be involved in the process, they take pride in their website and every change needs to be approved. Either method is fine and I am happy accommodate wherever on that spectrum you land.

In some cases, where companies already have a developer or web designer, I act more like an SEO consultant and they implement the coding work and optimization steps that I recommend.

The point is that I won't ask to lock you in to any pricing contract. My goal is to form a business relationship with my clients but I understand that not every business relationship is compatible. You are free to leave at any point in the process.

My clients stay with me not because they are locked in by a contract, but because they see my attention to detail and desire to help my clients improve their bottom line through SEO and online marketing, and ultimately through the value that I bring.

So go ahead and start the process by filling out the form on this page. You have nothing to lose!

Once I receive your email, I will take a look at your site and send you a short video going over some of the issues that I notice that could be improved upon.

The video will include such items as:

  • Technical Coding Issues
  • Directories/Backlinks
  • Business Listings
  • Ratings/Reviews
  • Traffic Conversion
  • Menu Structure
  • Keywords Research
  • Competition Analysis

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
